Local Brisbane day trip

Hey guys

Following on from the Trip Report to the D'Aguilar Range, I thought it wise to heed Jalal's comment and start this post.

A couple of members have indicated that Sunday's work best and given the great south east's mirade of attractions, perhaps we should consider O'Reilly's, Stanthorpe/Border Ranges, Crows Nest to name a few. Any other locations that take your fancy?

Afterwards, we should have a BBQ and swap lies, er, stories emoticon

Re: Local Brisbane day trip

All sounds good to me, also The Springs is a 4wd park down near Girraween/Stanthorpe if anyone is interested. The Springs 4X4 Park

We could arrange to meet there and do a day on the property checking out what the Exy's can do if anyone is interested in this sort of day out. Or if anyone wants to we could organise a weekender and campout the night, sit around a fire and chew the fat so to speak.

Re: Local Brisbane day trip

Hey guys,
as per my various posts emoticon I (and my Boss) are keen to get out and see what the Exy can do. The show and shine would unfortunately emoticon (her not me!) probably put her off, but I would still be keen, considering what I saw today fitting an aftermarket nudge bar.
I am trying to keep up to date here, but just PM or email if it suits.
Looking forward to whatever you can dream up
cheers

Hi everyone yes keen as well to head out again.
Sunday is the best option for us so we would be up for it.

I checked out The Springs website - those guys are INSANE!!!

I'm not too sure that Rose would allow me to take our Exy over those tracks!

Re: Local Brisbane day trip

Well, they always show the worst tracks just like Landcruiser Park and most others trying to sensationalise the park but I've been for a drive around the park and there are trails suitable for the Xtrail.

But it don't matter to me, was only a suggestion. Landcruiser Park is also good for camping and driving if you want to go that way. Chris (Xmod) and I had a great weekend there at Easter, or else just a day trip, maybe another track in the dirty weekender.

I just love driving and a bitumen road with a BBQ at the end of it will do but if I can challenge my senses, my skills and my vehicle, it makes it all the better.

I'm ez, with a capital E..... emoticon

Jamie (and others)

Perhaps we could finalise exactly where we'll head off to at the "Meet, Greet & Shine"? My mate (Scott) is up for the meet and we'll know by the end of next week a date and time.

Re: Local Brisbane day trip

What are the chances of a cruise/bash in SE QLD now the MGS is off? Dont hafta lift your car or polish it...just go for a roll and meet everyone? Be it local or a day trip..compare mods, meet the members....kick these Exy Blues B**ts with the meet ups! Got enough members and most are local. emoticon

Is 28th Sept too late for everyone?

Or do we want to head out on Sunday 31st August?
(or maybe both) emoticon

What are your thoughts?
