Off Roads around Janolan Caves

We are doing A cave trip in Late October and Heading for the caves around Sydney.
Does anyone have some suggestions on the caves or some great roads to take in the area?
We are hitting several cave sites in the area and will make our way up to the wellington caves on the way home.

Regards
Scot and Wendy

Well lucky we will be staying near by in a cabin then.
We should not hit Sydney at all .

We are coming down the new England and a straight drive on day 1 is only around thirteen hours but we are allowing fifteen.

So when we camp we can hit the caves in the morning with out much hassle.

Re: Off Roads around Janolan Caves

The drive from Jenolan caves to Wombeyan caves is good. Visit Yerranderie while you are there. It is a private town. Booking enssential. Limeburners track is good fun too. While you are at Jenolan vist The Walls at Kanangra NP.

The Walls is at 33"59.295"S 150"06.529E
Yerranderie is at 34"07.153S 150"13.280E

Word of caution, don't drag your X-Trail through there when wet.

The leg from Wombeyan caves to Yerranderie is approx 70.938KM. Elevation will be ranged from 462m above sea level to 1100m high. The route file from Wombeyan caves to Yerranderie can be downloaded here.

A rough map of Wombeyan cave to Yerranderie is here.

Jenolan caves in the map is at the upper corner of the map which is not shown.

I have done that hill on Trail Wings previously but on that trip I had a set of MT21s all round. I am the guy pushing (thinking: "I could murder a beer") we had some noobs with us that trip, after I made it to the top I had to hike down to help out.
