Another Diesel X-trail....

Hi everyone!

I am another proud owner of a new diesel TS in electric blue, and loving it! I also got the 6 speed manual mainly for the better economy and extra power.

Actually picked mine up on August 1st, just clocked over 800kms today and sitting on an average of 7.0l/100kms.

Almost time for the 1000km service!

Cheers

Fang

Re: Another Diesel X-trail....

Glad you are loving the diesel xtrail, the extra power and torque would certainly come in handy climbing those hills around Red Hill and Authurs Seat. As the manual is a 6 speed i would assume it will cope at low revs quite well in offroad crawling situations, with limited need to ride the clutch as much as the petrol models.

Is it recommended that an oil change be done at 1000k to flush out any contaminants?

Re: Another Diesel X-trail....

Haven't really done much hill climbing yet, but yes there are some good hills around here to try it out on. You are probably right about the diesel being better in offroad crawling situations. For me its all bee on road only at this stage, but looking forward to trying it out when I get the chance.

From memory when I looked at the service schedule they did not perform an oil change at 1000km, I may be wrong though

You're right, no oil change at 1,000kms which surprised me too.
