Re: Touch up paints (in spray can form)
Brett,
Series I white is QM1 colour-code (Matt finish for the bumpers)
I have previously used a mixed spray paint with the exact colour-code as my exy which I bought/ordered through Repco. All you need to do is go to your nearest Repco store and asked for a spray can in that colour-code but tell them it is for the plastic bumper part of the car which is matt and not glossy as other panels.
No special surface preparation is required. You can pretty much spray it straight on that scratch.

Re: Touch up paints (in spray can form)
Brett
When I bought my T31 exy this year I asked Nissan to supply a touch up paint. They said no worries.
When I picked up the car they told me that they don't supply the paint anymore.

Re: Touch up paints (in spray can form)
Tony,
The touch-up paint which you're referring to is not the spray can type. Nissan sells the brush touch up paint as a separate item. They won't give it with the car for free (other manufacturers like Toyota do). It will cost you about $12.00 to buy from the dealer.

Re: Touch up paints (in spray can form)
Brett, I have used a product made by Holts Auto on my hyundai accent. The silver colour matched from their chart was great. Even the metalic look was pretty close to the undamaged areas on the front bumper.
The treatment consists of a primer can, colour paint can and a clear coat can. It is around $35 - $40 for the 3 spray cans required but for areas too large for touch up brush it is ideal.
They are available from super cheap auto, autobahn and repco.
Not being a car body spray painter the hardest thing to avoid is a paint matching line. I made the mistake of masking around the area and a defined line showed when tape was removed. Area can still be masked but not painted close to the taped section.
Hope this helps.

Re: Touch up paints (in spray can form)
Hey Jalal
The Nissan dealer said that they don't supply the touch up paint with new cars anymore. He also told me that you can't buy the Nissan paint from them.
Probably couldn't be bothered ordering it.

Re: Touch up paints (in spray can form)
Tony,
They didn't supply it with the T30 either, but at least I managed to grab one from the dealer a couple of days after buying my exy and it was readily available at that time.
