At long last
Finally had our new car delivered on Friday (just gone). We are now the proud owners of a T31 Ti Electric Blue (CVT) X-Trail.
I gotta tell you, I am SO glad that we prevailed because I am really impressed with the performance and handling. I took the new Xy out for a drive to Rivertree (near Stanthorpe, Qld) on the weekend and threw it around on the dirt roads. Even had a small creek to cross .
My wife has only seen the car once since we got it - she will drive it to & from work, so I wanted to have the first "play" in it. I can't wait to do some serious off-roading. For our 10th wedding anniversary in July, we will take the X-Trail over to Stradbroke Island for a couple of days and try some beach driving.
The CVT is such a dream to drive and not as boring as I thought it may have been. Acceleration on the highway effortless and the cabin space very impressive.
The only accessory that I had "thrown in" on purchase was a set of carpet mats, but I will add other necessities along the way when the budget allows. Oh, and we got ourselves some impressive personalised number plates to boot!
I would like to thank the forum & its members for making my purchase decision easier and I hope to participate in some social outings soon.
Cheers

Re: At long last
Hi Steve,
The sunvisor problem is the same with the T30, so the solution for that if it does get annoying is to put a layer of window tint (a strip) along the upper edge of the windscreen. It is perfectly legal to do so.
The hyper roof rails with lights are not an optional accessory, as they come fitted from the factory. Australia didn't get this version of the T31....yet, but it may come later as a "limited edition" Just like the ST-R came with them for the T30 model.
