Re: T31 Exhaust upgrade

You must have been reading my mind Stephen, as this was the first thing I looked at when Scot posted pics of this unfortunate accident emoticon

All cool, I had a look under Tony's xtrail today and can confirm that the T31 Petrol set-up will be very easy and straight forward as it has a small cat. converter under the car (similar to the T30) and one resonator.

Dear Members,

As you can remember, I have posted the following offer previously:

T31 Guys (petrol and diesel),

Hi-Tech and I are still waiting for a T31 volunteer who is willing to spare 2 days of their time and most probably drive to Bathurst to the Hi-Tech factory to enable us to design a cat. back and full exhaust systems for the T31 and determine the gains in terms of power and torque by having the T31 dynoed back in Sydney.

Hi-Tech are extending this offer to any T31 owner who will be able to keep the system on their xtrail for a nominal cost (very cheap of course) and this will also give the owner a chance to drive around with the system and report back any positives and/or concerns until the system is fully optimized.

If anyone is interested, please let me know and I can accompany you to Bathurst and spend a couple of days there with you at the factory, so we can record the progress of the upgrade and ensure everything is done to your satisfaction.

This offer is available to the first T31 owner that puts their hand-up and will not be repeated again!

I can now confirm that this offer is being extended to the first T31 X-Trail Petrol owner (manual or auto) and exactly the same savings and discounts will apply to whoever decides to take it up just like Andrew has experienced.

BE QUICK!!

Hi Guys,

Just to clarify about a couple of things about the T31 petrol Hi-Tech offer:

1. The design will involve the twin mufflers set-up just like the T31 diesel with slight modifications to the middle section as required.

2. Hi-Tech will possibly be also interested in designing a straight-through system for the T31 petrol to compare gains and to offer an alternative exhaust system (i.e. budget system)

3. Hi-Tech will definitely look at the extractors set-up for the T31 petrol to see if the flange is similar to the T30, but as fitting the extractors and running with them will void your warranty, Hi-Tech will probably delay the introduction and production of the extractors set-up until there are T31s that are out of factory warranty period.

4. The T31 petrol owner will get to keep the twins (or straight through) cat. back exhaust set-up on their exy and will only pay for the cost of materials. This cat. back system does NOT impact your factory warranty.

BOTH dyno runs (before and after) are being paid for by Hi-Tech and your accommodation at Bathurst is arranged by Hi-Tech as well

As I said, be quick and don't miss-out on such a great offer.

Why wait Scot, just come for a drive to Sydney and go back with them emoticon

Noel has done that all the way from Cairns with his T30 and Andrew has done it coming from Adelaide emoticon

Maybe you could swap Xtrails with another Qld member who wants a week's holiday in Sydney and they could drive yours down to get the exhaust done for you emoticon

Re: T31 Exhaust upgrade

My rates are reasonable ... return drive to Bathurst from Brisvegas to fit your T31 Exy with exhausts you can pay for fuel and I'll get myself down there by any means on my own expense. I'll have it back up to you in 5 days easy. I'll take all the photos of the hot laps around Mt Panorama in your Exy Scot, all with minimal burning rubber of course. If Jalal is free we could take the new twins for an off road test run through the Blue Mountains also and send you post cards of all the spots we got bogged at. LOL.
Now that's an offer you can't refuse. emoticon

Re: T31 Exhaust upgrade

Hi Guys,

The offer of designing the very first T31 exhaust system for the T31 Petrol owners is still on the table, so if any member in Sydney or NSW is interested or if we have members visiting from other states, please contact me and we'll get the ball rolling.

It's a shame to be missing-out on such great power and torque gains which one xtrail owner can have for almost nothing and it is completely safe to do so in terms of factory warranty as well.
