Re: BlackThunda coming to NSW

Sounds good to me, Gosfords a good place! I'm up for anything.

Maybe we can arrange to meet somewhere and if there are a few small tracks around, those who wanted to get a bit dirty can do a few tracks early and make it to the BBQ area in time for lunch and a chinwag, the ones who don't want to go off road can just meet at the BBQ area a little later.

Everyone's happy. How does that sound.

Sounds good to me Jamie.

Come-on guys, add your names in and state your preference as (BBQ or Off-road+BBQ). Let's show Jamie our xtrails and check out his emoticon

I've already put it into the calendar. Nothing else has come up yet (like usually happens!), so it looks like we're good to go!

I'm up for anything - BBQ+4WD preferred emoticon

Re: BlackThunda coming to NSW

Hi Guys,

Count me in.

I'd be up for both 4WD and BBQ. Is there a venue yet? I know Gosford has been mentioned......anything more specific? If people want an alternative to the Watagans, we could do Yengo N.P. We could take a run from Wollombi into one of the picnic areas for the BBQ.

Just an idea.

We could re-visit and have the BBQ at the Girakool Reserve at Somersby like we did for the forum xmas party HERE and I believe there could be off-road tracks not too far from that area as well (am not sure)

Re: BlackThunda coming to NSW

Hi all,
Emma & I should be around on the 12th for a 4wd/bbq combo.
Last night we were looking at the Boiling Billy book & thinking about trying the Howes Valley Trail, this trail links Yengo NP & Putty SF. There seems to be plenty of picnic areas in Yengo. The pubs of Wollombi & St Albans are not too far either. emoticon

Re: BlackThunda coming to NSW

From the mud map in the book, it's just north of Wiseman's Ferry, and runs off Putty Rd.

The book says it's approx 100km from Sydney (I'm assuming they're referring to the centre of Sydney.

It's on page 15 of my book (I have the third edition with a red cover and I believe the 4th edition has a blue cover, and the trek might be on a different page).
