Re: BlackThunda coming to NSW

If that's the popular consensus, I can make my way to my sisters place on Friday and go from there and do Watagans on Saturday.

I'm really flexible and will leave Dubbo around early morning to midday on Friday.

I'm actually planning this part of the trip around the Xtrail drive on Saturday so whatever we come up with I'll plan to get there.

Looks like we will be having Watagans overload emoticon
I just posted a new suggestion for doing the Watagans before the Stockton beach run.
Still, I think we will be a long way from exhausting the area's challenges and beauty, so I may make it up there in July too.

Sorry Jamie, I won't be able to do the Watagans in July so if you have time we can catch-up in Sydney on your way to Newcastle.

It doesn't have to be the Watagans if there is a place better suited for everyone! emoticon

I'm just happy if I can get off road with some good company, I like what I saw of Newnes.

It's still early days, why don't we see what the response will be after the weekend when a lot of people tend to check the forum. emoticon

Is there any good trails around the Blue Mountains?

I usually do a loop through Blue Mountains National Park (Near Bilpin) to Burralow Camp Ground. Once I pop back out on Bells Line Road I enter Wollemi National Park from Mountain Lagoon. You can leave the Mountains via a nice dirt/sandy track that takes you to upper Colo.

Please excuse the motorbike pics I didn't have an Exy at the time they were taken (I will work on replacing them soon)

Re: BlackThunda coming to NSW

Hi guys, anyone given any more thoughts to this trip at all, I'm still keen to get together on the Saturday for a run. emoticon It doesn't have to be off road either if no one want to get dirty, just a BBQ at a camp ground will do just as well.

I can meet almost anywhere you guys want except down south of Sydney as I'd like to be bedding down somewhere north of Sydney on Saturday night so it won't be such a long trip home on Sunday! emoticon

Re: BlackThunda coming to NSW

Blue mountains sounds like a good day drive and BBQ type of meet-up, but then again it'll be a fair hike from there to Newcastle at night on Saturday, so am not sure.

I bet Alex and Paul are keen to explore a bit more of the Watagans, so you might want to join them for a bit of off-road fun. For me, am over swapping my alloys back to 16" wheels so soon after the Stockton trip, as I got enough back problems doing it twice already LOL emoticon

A BBQ at Gosford is also doable if you're interested and there are enough takers from Sydney and the North Coast.
