Re: Problem When filling up fuel tank
Yep, that Donkey word comes to mind.
Who knows mate, I am considering writing an email to Nissan Australia and put it on paper.
Either that or just wait till they ring me and let the manager have it.

Re: Problem When filling up fuel tank
Yeah, he must have bought whatever remaining stock they had LOL
I agree, they should have checked all that before letting wait an hour or so, but did you have an appointment? If not, I guess they had to take their time to properly diagnose the faulty sensors and only then look for stock availability. Nissan head office doesn't issue clearance for obtaining stock that easily under warranty claims unless the dealer provides a ton of paper work with it to prove they have done their homework.

Re: Problem When filling up fuel tank
I had the Xy booked a week in advance.
They even sent me a text (first time ever) yesterday to confirm my appointment.

In that case you have every right to be angry with them mate and let them have it.

Re: Problem When filling up fuel tank
Hi Guys,
Please shift this discussion into the "the dealer experiences thread" as it adds little value here.

Re: Problem When filling up fuel tank
Got the Xy booked in for next Friday morning.
They tell me its a 2.5 hour job as the fuel tank needs to be dropped.
Has anyone else had this done, I mean the sensors are accessable through under the passenger seat on the drivers side, why would they need to remove the fuel tank?
Maybe its another problem all together.

Re: Problem When filling up fuel tank
Tony,
They'll be replacing the sender unit which is inside the fuel tank I believe.

Re: Problem When filling up fuel tank
Yeah, but it all unscrews from the large access hole under the seat.

Re: Problem When filling up fuel tank
The T31 fuel tank as you may have noticed is split into two compartments on each side of the car and joined in the middle, it could very well be the case that one sender unit is accessible from under the seat for one fuel tank compartment and the other sender unit is sitting in the other. Depending on which sender unit is faulty, they might need to get the fuel tank off to reach it in the second compartment.
