It looks like I've got one bar short of a jail cell again.
Its happened the last 4 fills and no matter how much I shake the car it still reads one bar short of full.

Same here Coach... Fuel was up in the neck yesterday and still showed a bar down.. 
Oh well, needs to go in soon, will try and get it fixed...

Its starting to look like that these fuel senders have a life span of 18 months to 2 years before they start playing up.

Mine used to do that for ages, show one bar less, then drive around for a while and show full bars.
This must be a sign that the gauge will soon play up as have had the same symptons last time as well.
I still am getting the range out of the tank, just not showing on the gauge.

It took 60k for the problem to start again.
Car is booked for 80k service in 2 weeks, just wondering should I tell them now and get it fixed, or wait until the dealer waranty nearly expires and then have it replaceed.
Might talk to them first.
