Re: STOCKTON BEACH 14th June 2008

Hey guys,

Jalal, do we have revised numbers yet? Are we likely to top the Newnes record? I'm hanging out for the sand!!! Should be a brilliant day. The sand should be cool, moist and firm after this weeks' rain and if the sun is shining (like it is in Sydney this morning) it should be a cracker of a day. I've even convinced the wife to come along!!!

Plus I just picked up a bad boy air compressor that does a 20 psi inflate in under 2 minutes!!!! emoticon

Hi Dave,

The numbers are still the same, there are a couple of shy members who haven't added their attendance confirmation yet, if they do, we will beat the Newnes record and will be 15 emoticon

Am gonna put the A/T tyres on now, the weather is perfect for tyres swap emoticon

Re: STOCKTON BEACH 14th June 2008

Okay, i'm reading this thread for last couple of days and very much interested in joining everyone to get my first experience ofroad, but I've got couple of questions before then:

1. My exy is still virgin of 4wd tracks and it is without any mods, I mean everything is factory fitted, do I need anything special to make for this trip?

2. Is there anything special I need to be having in my exy for this trip?

Please don't say YES to any of above questions as I really want to be having all that fun. emoticon

1. Yes, you will need to drop your tyre pressure before you get on the sand emoticon easy!

2. No, but it will help if you can get your hands on a tyre pressure gauge

Dont be worried about coming along on this trip, driving on the sand may seem daunting but there are plenty of experienced off roaders coming to give the virgins any advice needed.

Hi Harish,

Having made my debut at the last forum trip to the Watagans, I can honestly say there is nothing to worry about. These guys are terrific and you won't be made to feel like a "newbie". Everyone wants to help and everyone wants you to have a good time. You have a group of guys who know 4WDing and the X Trail back to front. The idea is for us all to have fun, experience some new things with our cars, but to do so safely.

By the way guys; weather forecast for next Saturday is for showers and possibly a large surf. So we'll need tyo be mindful of the tide line. The sand should be nice and compact though!!!!

A head of you mate and I have already made-up the new name tags for this trip. These will be distributed to everyone at the meet-up point.
