posticon Watagans Trip April 2008

Hi All,

After the recent success of the Newnes 4WD trip, perhaps some of you would like to get your exys dirty again!! emoticon

I am proposing an off-road trip to the WATAGANS for the 19th of April.

Previous trips to the Watagans have been a great success and information can be found HERE and videos on youtube HERE and HERE

Anyone interested???

Yep, keen as. I was up there today and found some great tracks. They might be a bit full on for the exy but we should be able to do most of them.

Re: Watagans Trip April 2008

Hey Paul, isn't that a clash of dates? I thought the Canberra meet-up was on the same day?! Or have I got it wrong?

Oh Ok I just read the latest on the Canberra thread...

I hope Jasere isn't disappointed - I expect Brett would be likely to switch events at the opportunity to go to the Watagans emoticon

I'd already pencilled into the calendar the date of the Canberra trip (even though I knew there was not much chance of getting there) so I'll change it to Watagans and see what happens. I still don't like my chances of coming as Clare's sister returns from Denver the Wednesday prior, and I assume we'll be having a big family catch-up all weekend.

Yep I hope not but I had a look and I don't think he has been online since early March so......

I got the feeling that there was no alot of interest in Canberra with Jase not around.

An ACT trip with no ACT member!! emoticon

Yep hope so, I don't fancy my chances of pulling off a recovery so hopefully Brett will be able to come.

Also be a good chance for Brett to part next to Matt's BT-50 to measure lift height emoticon

Well hope you can make it Rich, the more the merrier. Maybe you could pull the guilt card about missing the Newnes trip and get Clares sister to make the trip too emoticon

Re: Watagans Trip April 2008

Hey Guys,

Yep, I've blocked out that date, so I'm there. I live on the north side of Sydney, so it's a lot closer to home for me than Canberra.

I guess the only caution I would add is the likelihood of some pretty ugly tracks up there if the rain we're getting on the east coast continues all this week. In fact, as I'm typing this, it's hosing down outside. The Watagans is really slippery after rain. Those of us on standard suspension and rubber might struggle with the conditions.

Anyway, it's just a note of caution. I'm still keen to go!!!
