Great article in the Melbourne age newspaper about new X-trail. 0-100 fastest off the mark to 100kph.Beating RAV4 and CRV by a considerable margin. Also best on unmade dirt roads.Nissan has done a great job.cheers

Re: (NRMA)-Best Recreational 4WD

I agree Ray that Nissan has done an excellent job. In fact I think it was the biggest gamble Nissan has ever made.

A few of us (myself included) and many car reviewers were very skeptical about the success of the new T31 given the fact that the shape wasn't changed much and is considered an old-fashioned type of shape for the new generation 4WD cars that are out there at the moment, but Nissan concentrated on packing the T31 with so many advanced features, that it just smashed the opposition when they put it head to head with other makes.

This goes to prove that looks alone are not the only factor new car buyers are considering these days when they look for that reliable and long lasting vehicle that would give them many years of fun.

Nissan have made a winning combination with the T31 and their gamble has paid off greatly and not only in Australia.
