Chrome Exy Queensland BBQ

A wonderful time was had by all today when the Qld contingent (well some of them anyway) met up with Jalal for a drive and BBQ lunch at North Pines Dam.

In total 7 Exy's attended today, Jalal and his family, Dez and Bev, Justin (Dez & Bev's Son, also an Exy owner), Jeff and his wife and their oh so cute little poodle, Chris and his wife, Tony and his family and of course me and my son.

Although the day wasn't the sunniest and the wind picked up a bit every now and then, there was no real rain to talk of so we were very thankful for that.

Some pictures of the outing.

It was great to meet Jalal finally and put a face to a name and have a pic taken with the Nissan Flag.

Also good to notch another trip up for the Queenslanders and set a new record for attendance at a meetup, well done everyone.

Bring on the next trip.

Looks like a nice day out Jamie.
Now that you have seen the Chrome Exy "in the flesh" do you have any different plans for your own ???

Jamie!
From the photos taken, it would appear to have been a great outing for every one. A small suggestion for you would be to put names to photos so that other forum members can identify each other. once again well done.

Re: Chrome Exy Queensland BBQ

Some Kev, I picked up the chrome door handle garnish and the petrol lid garnish from Jalal yesterday, seriously considering the fender kit as it looks sweeeeet indeed. I now call it a MINI Chrome Exy

As much as I like the roof rails (what attracted me to the car in the first place), I doubt that I would go through what Jalal went through to retro mod mine that way, but looks fantastic.

Re: Chrome Exy Queensland BBQ

Hi Guys,

I had a wonderful time with the guys from QLD and it was lovely meeting you all.

I would like to thank Jamie for organising this nice meet-up and all guys and their families for coming along.

Having 7 xtrails lined-up with the dam in the background was an awesome view and I will post pics as soon as I return to Sydney tomorrow.

Thanks guys.

Re: Chrome Exy Queensland BBQ

Even though I couldn't attend the BBQ as I was headed up the sunshine coast I had a chance meeting at the Shell travel stop where I pulled in and saw a car that was instantly recognisable - Jalal's!!

After a quick meet and greet we were on our way, but it was great to say hello in person.

Thanks Vincent. It was nice meeting you too mate.

After seeing two xtrail parked where you were, I actually thought it was the meet-up point and automatically pulled over. It's only when Jamie came around looking for me that I realized you were not part of the BBQ meet-up event LOL

It was a nice coincidence indeed emoticon
