genuine series 2 fog lights - parts needed?

Hi Everyone

I'm going to try and get genuine fog lights from the wreckers as I am unable to locate any for sale etc.

I understand the parts needed are:

Fog lights, with attached plug (as factory wiring loom in place in non fog light equiped cars)

Indicator stalk with integrated fog light switch.

Relay? for fuse box.

Is there anything else I need or have missed?

What should be the approx price I should pay for these parts? A new kit from Nissan is $430 trade.

Thanks

That's all the parts you need and a relay too but I doubt you'll be able to score them at the wreckers, cause they'd want to sell you the whole bumper with the fog lights. I have tried that before.

Anything less than $430 will be a bargain LOL emoticon

P.S. Be sure to buy them with the mounting brackets, otherwise they'll be useless.

Re: genuine series 2 fog lights - parts needed?

have been doing a little more digging into this.

I was thinking of buying the aftermarket fog lights kit from ozparts, discarding the switch and buying a replacement indicator stalk to keep the factory look.

The friendly people at nissan have helped with some details

the indicator stalk with fog light switch is approx $60. part number 255408H301

The relay doesn't seem to have a part number listed and the part number also doesn't seem to be listed in the parts information for the foglamp kit.

1. Does anyone know the part number or can have a look for it on their relay?

Nissan provided fitting instructions for series 1, but they didn't have instructions for series 2

2. Does anyone have these instructions?

A couple of further questions (which may be answered by the fitting instructions)?

3. Does the relay get plugged into the fuse box in the engine bay or is it mounted separately

4. Is there any other wiring needed (like the series 1 kit) or is it totally integrated into the existing wiring?

It look like all up the after market fog lamp kit, replacement indicator stalk, and relay so far will be approx $350 which is about an $70 saving on the genuine kit assuming nothing else is needed.

any help appreciated.

Part number for the front for relay is located in the rear fog light install thread here.

Note the cost from Nissan in the post after
 emoticon

The relay gets plugged into the relay box on the driver's side of the engine bay and all the wiring should be there if you are using the control stalk.

I bought a Narva mini relay from one of the car parts places (Auto Pro) for $8.95. It fits straight in.
