Re: Factory intake - addition of heatshield wrap & proposed intake modifications

Looks pretty good Kev. I was just going to use a/c ducting, but haven't got any prices for it yet. I wonder if those chrome inlet flanges fit into the foglight hole? That would be ideal and look alot neater than the bare end of ducting poking through the foglight hole!

I'll try and price some ducting - I already have to go to supacheap/repco etc to get an extension strap for the baby seat...

The one you posted above from eBay is from an AutoOne store, so I'll pop into one of them and see if it's any cheaper to buy if from the store (at least I could save on postage).

While you are there, check the size of the chrome flange too emoticon

Bought 100mm diameter ducting (about $25 for alot more than I'll ever need) from Bunnings this morning and just put it in...

I'll try and get some temperature measurements tomorrow while driving around.

Re: Factory intake - addition of heatshield wrap & proposed intake modifications

Did a few short trips this morning, but the temperature hadn't risen enough to make much difference to the temps. I did notice that the Sensor #2 drops to similar reading to Sensor #0 significantly quicker than before, likely due to it getting more direct cold air (less restrictive and away from the heat of the radiator). Looks like it is going to be a warm day so might go for a drive again this arvo and take some more measurements.
