posticon The Chrome Exy will soon be seen in QLD

Well QLDers, the day has come for me to come and say "Hi" to some of you in person LOL emoticon

The chrome exy will be making its way from Sydney to the Gold Coast in about 5 weeks time and I will be there until early January.

Will be making my way to Brisbane as well and going to Steve Irwin's (Australia) zoo.

Would love to meet some of you who will be there at that time and put faces to those usernames and see your xtrails emoticon

Lucky for me the diff problem happened and been fixed before the actual trip, otherwise, I could have ended-up asking you for a lift home LOL emoticon

Remember! 2 xtrails or more is a meet-up score for your State and having the NSW plates present in this meet-up, wouldn't change that and it'll still be a QLD score emoticon

Re: The Chrome Exy will soon be seen in QLD

When you know the exact date Jalal, let us know and I'll see about getting something together. Kev usually come up at Xmas time as well, maybe we can organise a day where both of you will be able to meet up with us. emoticon

Kev are you coming up this year? emoticon

I know Kev would like to do an off road trip, how about you? If not, maybe just a trip up to one of the dams here and we can have a BBQ and a few beers. emoticon

Funny you should mention Steve Irwin, what with it being 'Khaki' day today. emoticon

Hi Jamie,

The wife is gettin' tired of the long day's drive up so looks like this year she wants to fly up for a quick visit and hire a car emoticon

Maybe I'll get an Xtrail from Budget and we can still join you on a daytrip emoticon

It will be in early Jan but will let you know closer when she decides.

So what are your plans for the 29th or 30th? If you're free, we could start to organise something. emoticon

Dunno yet Jamie. We will be visiting a family in Brisbane (friends) but I don't know exactly when we will go there from the Gold Coast where we will be staying.

I'll let you know later or give you a call from the Gold Coast. (PM me your mobile)

Re: The Chrome Exy will soon be seen in QLD

Jamie,

The dates are confirmed and either 29th or 30th in Brisbane will be fine for us.

We will be visiting the other family one day and meeting you guys on one of the above days. After all it's only a 30 minutes drive from where we will be staying.

A Mazda Tribute (my bro in law) will be with us, so I want you guys to give him hell about driving a Tribute and not an exy LOL emoticon emoticon emoticon

Re: The Chrome Exy will soon be seen in QLD

O.K, calling all Queenslanders................

In preparation for the impending visit from the Chrome Warrior, I think we should get together for a BBQ and a chin wag. I know a lot of people go away for the holidays but whoever isn't going away is more than welcome to come along.

The 30th December is the only day available for me unfortunately but if the majority can only make it on the 29th, I don't mind doing the organising but will be unable to make it that day.

I have done some scouting and have come up with what I think will be 2 good places, both have plenty of BBQ's and play areas, also a reasonable amount of parking spots.

1) McGavins View, North Pines Dam - Forgan Road, Joyner. an hour and a bit from Brisbane

2) Paradise Point picnic area - Esplenade, Paradise Point 15 minutes from the Gold Coast

These are a couple I know of, but I am happy to consider any alternatives, so bring on the suggestions.

Just remember, Jalal will be coming from the Gold Coast so if there are any suggestions for places down around that way, this will make it easier for him. Maybe if anyone knows any good places at Springbrook, Mt Tamborine or O'Rielly's we can look at them.

Let me know what everyone thinks. emoticon
