Re: FORUM MERCHANDISE (Promotional Items)
Just received confirmation from the flag company that none of the flag poles available in Australia allow them to be fitted on cars with weathershields.
I will try a couple of options when I get them, as I do believe the U shape bracket of the flag can be inserted between the tailgate glass at the top of the car where it meets the roof, you just have to have the tailgate open when you insert it to clip it on.
The bonnet mounting method should be fine, it will just look like an embassy car from the Australian xtrail forum. hahahaha
I will confirm this later when I get the flags.

Scot,
The T31 spoilers have a gap in the middle as far as I remember.

Re: FORUM MERCHANDISE (Promotional Items)
Hi Guys,
The forum car flags are here and they look awesome!
They come-in a set of 2 flags (right and left side of the car)
Priced at $28.50/set (including postage)
Orders through the Online X-Trail Shop by emailing ([email protected])
I have tried them out on my exy with weathershields and while the window doesn't close fully, it will close enough to be seen as closed behind the weathershields. There are other mounting positions which I have tried and they include the edge of the bonnet and it fits there too quite nicely. The tailgate mounting option did not work for me, as I have a spoiler stuck to the tailgate glass.
I will take some pics when my car is clean and the off-road track in my driveway is no longer there

Re: FORUM MERCHANDISE (Promotional Items)
Stephen,
The flags are designed with a 2cm sleeve that the plastic flag pole goes through and it also comes with a securing plastic ring that locks in place at the top of the flag so you don't loose it while driving. The sleeve of the flags is pretty tight as it is, even without this locking ring and I had to force the flag pole through it to get it in, so I don't think it'll be going anywhere in a hurry.
I'm not sure how the Aussie flags were designed cause I could never find one when I needed it at Australia Day LOL

Re: FORUM MERCHANDISE (Promotional Items)
Good stuff Maz
Can't afford ordering any more forum items at this stage, but I also had an idea about making sun-shades, so will consider the lanyards also at a later stage.
