Re: Nudge Bars for the new X-Trail T31
I have communicated with this company before. Their nudge bars are not stainless steel, rather aluminium. Just so that you know when comparing to others. On the good side however, they are indeed air-bag compatible, which is very important.

After reading the post about the ARB nudgebar for the T31, I phoned a ARB, Capalaba. They have a product number and price ($691 rrp + fitting), BUT and a big BUT they havn't manufactured any as yet and ARB couldn't give me any time frames. Basically they said it could be manuafacture issues or just a low priority as they have a lot of new products being released.
Looks like I am back to looking at the ECB. I got a price from TJM of $625 + fitting. Has anyone got a better deal?
G'Day Adam,
Opposite Lock Toowoomba (Brad) is offering supply only of these @ $600. Apparently ECB provide comprehensive instructions, and he assures me that they are pretty easy to put in.
ECB makes different finishes for the product though, and I'm not sure which one you were quoted on .... mine was for the powder coat hammertone finish .... which I think is the cheapest. The pretty shiny one costs a little more, around $100 extra I believe.
The price for the same product seems to vary a fair bit due to differing margins, no doubt .... but this is the best we have been able to find.
I have phoned ECB to see if we can source directly from them, since we go to Brissie a bit, and would like to collect from them and save on the freight - however they say they don't want to upset their dealers, so will only provide via a dealer. They told us that if one was to pay a dealer, then COLLECT directly from ECB, then one can save the freight and packing ... but when I offered to do this with Opposite Lock they stated that ECB wouldn't allow it ..... so go figure ... we are between a rock and a hard place.
If you look on ECB's webpage - www.ecb.com.au - they seem to show their "showroom" .... so how they can have a showroom, but then say they can't sell direct to the public is a bit beyond us!! Can anyone tell us their physical address .... since it isn't listed on the webpage.
Maybe if we can get it sorted with ECB we could hit them up for a discount if we both buy one, hay Adam!!
Jalal, you say that you have dealth with "the company" before .... which company do you mean mate?? Is it ECB .... are they good/bad/indifferent??
By the way ... sorry about the empty response above .... we're still getting our heads around this system!!
Cheers all.

Re: Nudge Bars for the new X-Trail T31
G'Day Adam,
That sounds good .... but to be honest I think we would rather go through ECB, just after having researched it a bit. We are happy with the hammertone finish - from what we can gather they only offer the one hammertone colour, but we could be wrong. All we are really after is a stable platform to mount our new Lightforce spotties .... we don't really care how shiny it is!
Please advise if you are happy with ECB (and if so .... hammertone or shiny), or if you are going to go QLD Bullbars. Please also note that we are pursuing the 76MM - or whatever - and that it is the LOW nudgebar as opposed to their high model.
As we mentioned, can anybody advise their physical address??? We will be going through Brissie tomorrow (20 July) and the next day (21st), and again around 30 July, so would be quite happy to visit and do some "dealing".
Anybody else wanna get one of these, as we are happy to hit them up for an even bigger "group" buy!!
Cheers all,
--- Michael & Kirsty

Hi Michael,
Please be mindful of the forum rule regarding Group-Buys as outlined below:
quote: jalalski wrote:
A group-buy through the forum is certainly possible if the following takes place:
1. There is enough interest to start-up a group-buy
2. One of the existing members of the forum who has implemented a mod or is offering a part and/or accessory provides a brief summary of what is involved (parts, costs..etc) to the forum Administrator/s.
3. A member volunteers to coordinate this group-buy and be the central point of contact for all those who take part in it.
The Administrator/s will give that member permission to approach the manufacturer on behalf of the Australian X-Trail Forum and the ability to negotiate using the forum name.
All financial transactions can only be arranged by the Head Administrator to minimize risks, so any other group-buy which the admin is not involved in, would need to take place whereby participants pay the manufacturer/supplier direct.
Members are NOT authorized to negotiate deals with manufacturers or otherwise using the Australian X-Trail Forum name without prior permission of the forum administrator/s. Failure to do so may result in membership cancellation.
Members need to be mindful and aware that international group-buy transactions carry an element of risk and may in some cases result in sellers not delivering a product. While the Australian X-Trail Forum would make every effort to minimize such risk, it does exist and it can happen, so please use your own judgment.
For further questions, please ask.
