Hey Nazar,

I see you've got a 2012 model - therefore select Nissan > X-Trail > 08/10 model onwards (Series 3, 4 and 5).

You'll get another option, being the Big Tube bar.
http://www.ecb.com.au/vehicle.php?Make=2&Model=79&variant=934&SEARCH3.x=50&SEARCH3.y=10&SEARCH3=SEARCH

The difference between Big Tube and Barjo is the former is installed by being installed OVER the existing bumper bar, the former replacing most of the front, with a little of the sides being kept.

There have been a few comments that those with the Barjo can slightly tap it and dislodge it - meaning it 'digs' over the wheel arch.

Have a look at Scarey's ride to see what the Big Tube Chrome looks like (good!)

Hi

Looking for opinions on the Rear Nudge Bars - do they impede on the tow bar (have Hall tow bar so tongue not always used), how easy to fit, do you need to cut rear bumper, usefulness, thoughts on overall look of vehicle once fitted etc. etc.

Front nudge goes on next weekend so thinking maybe I can get both done at once!

Do rear nudge bars have any functionality to them, or are they purely for looks?

I am hoping they stop those "small" dings in carparks etc. to rear bumper - that is my true aim, then of course don't want something that is going to look awful / stupid etc.!

Does any body have the fitting instructions for a genuine nudge bar (series iii, iv, v)?

Looking at picking up a 2nd hand nudge but it doesn't come with any of the bolts and brackets. Want to get a price from Nissan before I make my decision to buy it

Re:

I'd let that one go because Nissan won't sell you the brackets separetly or will charge you a fortune for them.

Which ECB bar you going for Michael? Only last week I did a big ring around Sydney and got heaps of quotes for the 63mm type 2 Nudge Bar.

Re:

Same. the 63mm type 2, the one with the two horizontal tubes... best price I've got in Sydney (albeit 1 phone call) was $850 chrome / $800 other finishes. Fitted.

Tried a place in Canberra, $1700ish... I lol'd and walked away.
