Re: Nudge Bars & Bullbars for the new X-Trail T31
The majority of the nudge bars require minor trimming and drilling to fit the front chassis. The ECB is one of them and it is completely certified for airbag compliance.
None of the budget nudgebars you see on eBay or other auction sites are airbag compliant am afraid, so be very careful what you buy.

Re:
The only trimming you have to do for the ECB bar is behind the bumper bar to a piece of plastic that sits near a mounting point.
Outside the car doesn't get touched.

but I feel the ECB may be a bit thicker and give more protection to the radiator.
Your feeling is 100% correct, as there is nothing behind the black plastic bits of the factory nudge bar in terms of prection, it's just hallow and provides no protection to the bumper/radiator at all.

Re:
They'd be pretty easy to install Michael as long as you have the correct template and instructions.
I'd go the ECB though, there's a few different styles to choose from.

Re: Nudge Bars & Bullbars for the new X-Trail T31
Read this thread all the way through and there is some info on bull bars here. The most popular seems to be ECB.
