Re: Re:
The Type 8 reminds me of Dame Edna Everage's glasses. On one of her really bad days.
I usually prefer "function" when number crunching and comparing 'form vs function' for add-ons.
The Type 8 may be quite functional but (to me) the function is outweighed by its astounding ugliness.
Surely it wouldn't take much to make a better balanced profile?

Re: Re:
It looks like a good price for an attractive and useful bar at $1880.
Last tine I looked locally in Regional QLD that ECB operator wanted a bit over $2200.
I was less than impressed by that price at the time.
Armed with your up-to-date information, perhaps I will try again...such knowledge of your achieved price can only help to make their next offer more reasonable.
Thank you.

Re: Re:
To save about $400 on the original quote (including the sales tax saving), I'd be quite happy to invest in the fuel cost for the 200 Km round journey and sit around for as long as it takes to fit it.
I wonder, do your receipts show who did the neat job for your Bullbar ?
(Experienced fitters = fewer niggles and problems later.)
If so, would it be possible to forward that information as a private message?
If not, I can probably track them down with a few phone calls.
Thanks again for the good information.
Late Edit. PM received some days ago : thanks.
Maybe this thread will help to grind down some of today's ridiculous prices for alloy Bullbars.
I do remember having a steel bullbar fitted to replace the usual inadequate bumper. It was hand-made and fitted to a Subaru for 250 bucks and within 4 hours... back in the Good Old Days.
It looked a bit like today's 3000 dollar Tuff-bar.
Steel bar was superb for unavoidable road-hits.
What was that?
With air bags, times have obviously changed.
