Re: The FIRST Test Drive of T31 X-Trail (Impressions and Review)
The only thing I can pick on the T31 is the side mirrors are convexed which means that everything looks further away than what it really is.
Are the T30 mirrors the same?
The other thing is that I miss the ride height of the raised patrol that I had before the Exy.
Other than that, a grouse car.

Re: The FIRST Test Drive of T31 X-Trail (Impressions and Review)
Hi Tony,
The Series II T30 has convex mirrors as well and I have changed mine (series I) to convex mirrors with LED indicator arrows and got used to them with time. Yes, it is a weird feeling when you first drive around with convex mirrors after getting used to driving with the normal ones, but after a while you'll get the hang of it and will be able to judge the distance more accurately.
As for ride height compared to the Patrol, well, this can be solved with a suspension lift later on OR a pillow under your bum LOL

Re: The FIRST Test Drive of T31 X-Trail (Impressions and Review)
Hi all,
I will have to withdraw a statement I made when the T31 came out I did not like them at all,
I now walk past a T31 every day and they are slowly putting on a nudge bar side steps now alloys and it has grown on me. But the headlights have to change before I would like the front end. But overall i can now see they could appeal to you. Ok it took me a while to come to the conclusion of the already owners of the T31 that it is a alright looking vehicle.
There's my fity cents worth

Re: The FIRST Test Drive of T31 X-Trail (Impressions and Review)
Today I fit some seat covers to my T31 and whilst I was fitting the front covers on, I noticed some air con vents under the seats as well as those behind the centre console.
There is one under each seat which have two seperate ducts pointing at the rear passengers feet.
I've had the car 3 months now and only discovered this today.

Re: The FIRST Test Drive of T31 X-Trail (Impressions and Review)
The seat covers are compatable for airbags and have cut outs on the side of the seat to allow for the airbag to deploy.
I've even had custom made rear covers as well which fit perfectly.
