But, if you still have your Car Cube from back in 2007 when water restrictions came into force then, it's time to get them back out. , on Flickr Beats using those gritty brushes in the carwashes which leave micro scratches all over your paintwork.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Revhead Kev)Sun, 24 Nov 2019 21:33:33 +0000 Re: Carcubehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2039244,from=rss#post2039244https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2039244,from=rss#post2039244That used to be the case in NSW with washing cars, it's no longer applicable nondisclosed_email@example.com (jalalski)Sun, 24 Jan 2010 22:13:44 +0000 Re: Carcubehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2039242,from=rss#post2039242https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2039242,from=rss#post2039242Am new to this forum, so a bit late on this, but same question as David - - What the hell are water restrictions ?nondisclosed_email@example.com (avanti7320)Sun, 24 Jan 2010 21:04:38 +0000 Re: Carcubehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2030328,from=rss#post2030328https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2030328,from=rss#post2030328  Whats water restrictions?   Cheers Davidnondisclosed_email@example.com (compass9)Thu, 16 Jul 2009 05:55:41 +0000 Re: Carcubehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2030266,from=rss#post2030266https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2030266,from=rss#post2030266Thanks for the heads-up Dave. Be careful when attaching/removing the hose connector, I bumped mine & it snapped off. A replacement/upgrade part is available that replaces the spigot & connector. The new spigot is made of metal not plastic so should last much longer. Cost was $13 including postage, If you can order it from a local supplier the part is only $6. I ordered off their website & only took a few days to arrive. Now just got to get around to fitting it.nondisclosed_email@example.com (waky53)Tue, 14 Jul 2009 20:59:35 +0000 Re: Carcubehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2022652,from=rss#post2022652https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2022652,from=rss#post2022652Hey Al, We all bought the carcube during the water restrictions as it was the only way we were allowed to wash our cars Man: Am I glad to see our forum back online nondisclosed_email@example.com (jalalski)Fri, 23 Jan 2009 12:00:32 +0000 Re: Carcubehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2022649,from=rss#post2022649https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2022649,from=rss#post2022649Jalal wrote:- I'm happy to report that my CarCube is still working fine by the way I'm glad to hear that mate, but I have mentioned before on the Forum that washing cars is against my religion..... Being a newbie I'm gradually working my way thro' the various postings and subjects and this one about the CarCube has had me "gripping" my computer mouse like I was watching a thriller film, rushing to get to the next page to see if order #5 was in, then #6 and then you all ran out of time so Jalal gets an extension and I start breathing again and next page says 2 to go then 1 to go and at this point my mouse is almost collapsing under the pressure then finally # 10..... Geez what a relief, I sat back and wiped the sweat from my brow before carrying on with the delivery side of it all Then came the reports on how good it performed...... I tell you, I've had a great hours read on this subject.... Thanks Jalal for arranging it all...... Oh BTW I use a Karcher, on the boat that is, I haven't gotten around to washing the exy yet... Heheheh, that'll probably be at the end of summer....... nondisclosed_email@example.com (Slowpoke 3)Thu, 22 Jan 2009 18:45:53 +0000 Re: Carcubehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2012455,from=rss#post2012455https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2012455,from=rss#post2012455purchased a car cube at the Brisbane 4x4 show before we went on our trip and it came in real handy when the exy became to dusty or dirty. best thing to have with the recovery gear in the back when on trips. Does it atleast remove some of it? like off wheels, calipers, etc IF the mud finds its way in there?      Also I've had another option and I know this is going off the topic of the CarCube, but I have been looking at the Karcher Winner 11 (RRP $99 I think) which is capable of drawing from a bucket filled with water, this requires a special hose to do this job which is about $50 but I am not sure if this is sold seperate for this model, or comes with it, the only downer with this option is its 120V and needs mains to operate and if we go purchase a convertor it starts costing more then I bargained for.      But who is going to carry around a bucket, water, pressure washer AND convertor.... And thats why i like the idea of the CarCube, you can fill it up prior to leaving and go from there.. Nothing else needed...    nondisclosed_email@example.com (liam cadden)Sat, 15 Dec 2007 17:44:57 +0000 Re: Carcubehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2007379,from=rss#post2007379https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2007379,from=rss#post2007379Am gonna have to disappoint you Liam and say that it will NOT remove the caked mud, the jet is not strong for this type of application.nondisclosed_email@example.com (jalalski)Sat, 15 Dec 2007 17:16:29 +0000 Re: Carcubehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2007378,from=rss#post2007378https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2007378,from=rss#post2007378Hey guys,     I know some of you who have purchased the carcube already commented on it, but my question is, over a 'long term', how has the product held up? I am very interested in purchasing this great little gadget to take the mud (thick, caked on mud) off the Exy prior to it sticking to the car, especially that it is now summer and you know what the sun does to mud after a couple of hours. I know its only 130psi and other pressure washers are up to 1500psi, but for the convenience and portability, you cant go wrong with this gadget, so everyone who purchased one of these, please let me know if it was able to remove mud, dirt, etc prior to properly cleaning the car.     Please comment on the power of the jet spray, and also the mist spray, and last but not least, can you attach more accessories (The connections to me only look like miniature normal hose connectors?) as I already have a trigger nozzle for a normal hose which has a 'flat' jet spray option instead of the direct pin point jet stream, the flat jet spray makes it easier to remove suds, etc but i haven't been able to use it because of the water restrictions here in Sydney, NSW, so all your comments are greatly appreciated.    There is nothing worse then driving home after a day out and having the mud fall off the car in the garage.     Thanks guysnondisclosed_email@example.com (liam cadden)Sat, 15 Dec 2007 17:07:08 +0000 Re: Carcubehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2006759,from=rss#post2006759https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2006759,from=rss#post2006759Good stuff Dave.
