Excellent, looks like we got ourselves a convoy.emoticon

It looks like the 25th is the best option for the majority so I'll book the day into the events calendar and start working on meetup points and details.

Well done Queenslanders, it's very smooth organising events with such wonderful compliant people! emoticon

I will post full details of the trip soon, keep an eye out! emoticon

The "standard" is with the number of xtrailers turning-up on the day mate LOL

THAT what counts in a forum organised event and the QLDers are doing just fine in this department emoticon

Re: Queensland Trip #10

Well done Lloyd.

O.K, plans for the day are as follows.

Tour # 9 in the Dirty weekends book.
Start at Caboolture and ends at Coochin Creek, 1 hour north of Brisbane.
Distance 70km, 45 km unsealed.
Typical surface Gravel, clay, dirt and sand
easy to moderate bush driving.

First meet up point will be at the Shell service station at Nudgee between 7.30 and 8am. We will leave there by 8am at the latest.

Last meet up point will be somewhere in Caboolture. (Any suggestions guys).

Hopefully we can start on the trip from there by 9am sharp. It's not a long trip but I am conscious of the short days and the trip home for everyone.

Bring the thermos, camp chairs, some lunch, esky with drinks as I doubt there will be shops on the track.

Drivers expressing an interest for the day are :

BlackThunda - Jamie, Vicky, Cody & Alex
Lac510 - Annette & Lloyd
MGF50 - Dez & Bev
Big Rig - Justin
Xrailer - Mike
Bounce77 - Steve
AussieMini - Danny

7 so far, woohoo!

Re: Queensland Trip #10

Jamie,

When you refer to 'Tour #9' what version of the 'Dirty 4WD Weekends' are you taking this from? I am assuming version 4 as the Glass House drive is #10 in version 3, which I borrowed from a friend to have a read of.

I think Jamie is referring to the previous QLD trips organised through our forum that have taken place and which he got numbered and tracked HERE so this is Trip #10 according to that list.

Re: Queensland Trip #10

Hi Lloyd, Queensland Xtrail trip #10 is the Tour #9 in the latest (Version 4) of the Dirty Weekends in South East Queensland.

Tour #10 (in the book) is the Blackall Ranges tour that took place a couple of months ago which was Trip #9.

Confusing I know with the 9s and 10s, sorry guys!

Re: Queensland Trip #10

Thanks Jamie, just wanted clarify as there was an amendment released for version 3 of the book which stated the following, The section at NOTES# 30 & 31 is now
impassable to 'softroaders'. But I am guessing this has been sorted in version 4?
