Queensland Trip #10

Hi all you queenslanders, I think it's time to put another notch in the state challenge belt.

Expressions of interest are being called for a day trip up and around the glorious Glasshouse Mountains so we can get the exy's dirty and do some off roading.

Prospective dates are 18th or 25th August and the plan is to do Tour #9 in the Dirty Weekends in South East Queensland book.

Anybody interested in joining me on this trip, please reply with your preferred date by 1st August. Then the final date will then be entered into the new Events Calendar and locked in place.

No permit is required to drive in the state forest we will be visiting and it is rated as moderate and suitable for 'soft roaders' so should be no problems for our vehicles. Plenty of opportunities for stops along the way for coffee/tea, sandwiches and of course the obligatory photos.

So c'mon all you Queenslander's, especially all the new members of the forum, join us for a great day out and a chance to meet other forum members and chew the fat. emoticon

I've also got to get some Klm's up or I'll be up for the dreaded Fringe Benefits Tax. emoticon

What better way to do it? emoticon

In regards to the catching up, well, you can call me a late bloomer hehehehahahahehehe emoticon

Matt, I grew up at The Entrace/Long Jetty and if memory serves me well I am sure there are just as many places to get off road up around Gosford and Wyong and Yarramalong that you guys could go - so no excuse for not doing enough down south. emoticon

How come the NSW members have hijacked this thread? emoticon

Matt, there's nothing stopping you organizing a day of fun up your way - I certainly noticed alot of places I wanted to explore when I was up at the Central Coast for power restoration works after the Queens Birthday Long Weekend! Too bad I was in the work Falcon - but I didn't let that stop me getting it dirty (and almost bogged on more than one occasion!)
