Re: What is this?

Yeah mate, I've been there before. It is a Taiwanese forum (not Japanese) and after browsing for a while I got fed-up with plenty of smiley faces and all the different icons they use in their posts with little content to actually read through.

Which page of the forum were these pics located in, maybe we can decipher what they said about it, if it is not full of smiling faces all over the place LOL

Yep, they do make references to us indeed and so are many other forums emoticon

Yeah, lowered rides is their main game over there for sure.

Here is a task for you mate: If you can find the thread where these pics were posted within 30 minutes, you'll get a prize. hahahaha emoticon Good luck browsing emoticon

Re: What is this?

I remember hearing stories about a "voltage stabilizer" which was another of those cheap 'gimmick' things which are sold as add-on improvements. alot like the earthing kits that you find every now and then.

Thats why i wanted a pic of how they were wired into the coilpacks. I'd probably be able to tell then.

Not sure why there's a relay mounted on the main unit though. thats a little strange.

Dave, can you take a couple of pics yourself?? especially the bit highlighted in purple above the battery and the coilpack wiring?

Re: What is this?

OK Guys,

Here are more detailed pics of this gadget.

Image Image

The gadget is called BELLON VSD-X III ignition amplifier

It claims to increase the ignitability of the spark plugs and increasing the voltage from 12V to 16V, therefore saving fuel and power!

Seems like another fuel saving gadget has been found by Dave emoticon

Here is what the manufacturer claims:

BELLON-VSD-X III ignition strengthening system effect

1: The effective promotion ignition voltage, promotes by 12V to 16V

2: Provides in the vehicle the electric appliance constant voltage function, on the vehicle the electric appliance thing is stabler

3: The high rotational speed power is smoother, horsepower promotion

4: Large scale reduces the oil consumption

5: Large scale reduces HC (hydrocarbon), CO (carbon monoxide) the waste gas discharges, burning completely

6: The fail safe mechanism, the double return route circuit design, is safe

7: Guards against the leakage design, avoids consuming electric power of the storage battery

Re: BELLON VSD-X III ignition amplifier

No they didn't, just too many exposed wires for my liking LOL emoticon

You can order one, test it out, let us know what it feels like and THEN we can look at the group-buy option. This is how it works anyway emoticon

Re: BELLON VSD-X III ignition amplifier

What is the rated input voltage of our sparkplug coils ? 16V might be too much and they might burn-out prematurely, more likely the secondary from the increased High-voltage as much as the primary.

Sorry guys, but I'm not convinced it will be safe and maybe damage your coils emoticon
