Re: New Gear Shift
Andrew,
Is your exy an AUTO? cause if it is, I would really love to see how you managed to remove the factory shifter.
I have tried doing that before and I have scored a really nice shifter that had the over-drive button as well but me and an auto electrician just couldn't work-out how the shifter stick can be removed, as it all looked like one plastic piece going directly to the transmission.
Even the Nissan dealer had no idea how to remove it.

Re: New Gear Shift
Very nice indeed mate.
If you could also share the installation process with us, it'll even be better

Re: New Gear Shift
Thanks Alan, the reason I ask is because I know how hard it is to do this mod.
I have imported exactly the same gear stick for my AUTO transmission and myself as well as a car electrician spent 3 hours dismantling everything and we just couldn't work out how the factory gear stick can be released from its place. Everything is plastic over there and seems to come in piece, so we gave up and I sold this gear stick, although I really wanted to have it.
So, if you show me (with photos if possible) how did you managed to remove the factory stick from its place and replace with the one supplied in the kit, it will be very helpful to me and others who want to do the same.
So nope, I can't say it is just "plug & play" far from it
