Th chrome door handle garnish which is available through the on line xtrail shop doesn't require replacement of the existing door handle trim, it just covers them in full without the need to take off anything.
Having said that, you can have your grey ones colour coded in black without removing them too.
Nath has done exactly that with the help of his brother and he can tell you more about it.
I colour coded the door moulds and mud-flaps as well.

Fair enough.
You can get it from the wrecker much cheaper of course, but if it's the driver's side, you may need to change the key cylinder so you don't end-up with another key to lock/unlock the car (manually)
