Prognosis are grim for our outing emoticon Looks like it's not worth washing the car after all or should I say that someone would be happy to see their exy washed by nature? hehehehe emoticon

Re: Sydney meet - attempt 2

Clare & I have been sick the last two days and she's considering not coming, especially if it's going to be cold & raining. We've had Thursday off work, and am off again Friday.

The two BBQ plates are undercover, as are the chairs & tables, but other than that, there isn't any other cover apart from the surrounding trees (the toilet block has a roof) emoticon

Matt will have to bring his roof-mounted awning. I can bring a 4m x 4m "mosquito tent" we can all stand under (or bring your own fold-up chairs). I reckon we could easily fit 10+ chairs inside. I was still going to bring a small portable gas stove and frying pan(s), even if the park is deserted, it might be abit far away to walk to/from the BBQ to the park's table & chairs if it's pouring.

Its not as bad as you might think.
The Bureau of Meteorology here predicts only a CHANCE of a shower on Saturday at Katoomba with fine days on Friday and Sunday.

With an expected top of only 8deg maybe it will snow a little emoticon

Re: Sydney meet - attempt 2

Rich, I am having the same dilemma at home and this morning was given the ultimatum, if it is raining on the day, then I will be coming as a single man to the event, but I will be there regardless.

I know what you mean emoticon
I reckon, give them a day of peace and quiet at home alone if they want and we'll have fun with the kids.
