Re: Falls Creek 07!

did you have any troubles with the snowboard fitting the rola racks?
I purchased a set of Rhino Snowboard/ski racks and I cant fit the snowboard.
The snowboard is a 162cm, so quite large but the problem i have is that the bindings are in the way when it comes time to locking them on the racks.
Any suggestions? besides taking the bindings off.

Re: Falls Creek 07!

I have the ROLA snowboard clamp thingy that fits 4 boards two abreast then two underneath back to back. The biggest board we put on their is mine which is a 158 .. however i do ride with a duck stance so my binds are from from being square on the board (still fits though).

I'm not overly familiar with the rhino setup..but if i had that issue with mine I "may" be tempted to just cut a bit of the rubber back so the bindings would clear(dunno if that will work for you).

The only issue I see with the xtrail is that it has fixed points to where the cross bars fit, Good thing about the pathfinder and Murano were that you could attach the sports bar anywhere along the factory rails to cancel any of those kind of problems all together.

Re: Falls Creek 07!

Thanks for the tip mark, but my stance on the board is so far apart that the locking arm of the rack comes down dead centre on the bindings.

I'd have to take all the rubber out and then some...

There is some things in life that being tall just doesn't help.

Re: Falls Creek 07!

damn that IS a wide stance emoticon that sucks though having to take the binding on and off.. the last thing you wanna be doing if its chilly with icey fingers is doing that emoticon

the only other option would be to buy some sports bars that widen the distance between the m to allow the bindings to clear... having said that i have no idea who would make such a thing.. and it would probably look fugly too emoticon If it was me I would just live with taking the biding on and off each time emoticon
