Re: Hyper Roof Rails with Lights
Hi Tague,
Nope, I didn't get a chance to fit the pod on the roof rails.
It'll take me the whole day trying to get to where I stored the pod in the garage, so am not looking forward to that unless we go on a trip LOL

Re: Hyper Roof Rails with Lights
Hi Guys,
After upgrading my headlights to HID white, the roof lights needed an upgrade as well, as they looked a bit silly in that factory yellow colour, so I bought myself a set of white HB4 9006 globes and decided to change them.
I can tell you the changing the globes in the hyper roof rails was MUCH harder than installing the entire HID kit on my headlights. The globes are impossible to get to without dismantling the entire front lens and removing it from its place. What an effort that was !!!
Anyway the end result is awesome:
Halogen 55W globe:
Halogen 80W globe white:

Re: Hyper Roof Rails with Lights
Hi Al,
I had a spare set of these hyper roof rails which were advertised on the forum for sale for ages and I then ended-up selling them to an xtrailer in Canada.
You can try your luck by looking for them at the wreckers and they'll cost around $500 bucks or so, but the killer is the actual installation charge of these roof rails and it takes 2 full days to have them fitted after stripping every part inside the cabin to get to the roof bolts and that will cost you around $800 (plus colour-coding). It's a very big job indeed.
In regards to the roof rail inserts, these also can be found from the wreckers. I think I still have them in the garage from when I had the standard roof rails, so if I find them, consider them yours free of charge.
