ST-S Series 2 Stock Head Unit

I've seen plenty of detail around how to remove the facia to replace the stock head unit, but I am wanting to know exactly what type of head unit is the stock variety for the Nissan X-Trail?

If I know this, I can ensure that I've got all the wiring information I need before I start the job. Also I may be able to get wiring looms to avoid having to cut any wires.

Can anyone help?

Thanks, the actual removal of the centre console is not a problem as I've downloaded this. However, I have found out some further information which will help me out and could also help out others here.

I've got a Kenwood h/u (KDCMP433) and I've received notification from supercheap Autos that the following adaptors will work for this conversion:

APP8KE1 - convert Kenwood to ISO
APP0120 - convert Nissan to ISO.

So, if you plan to add an after-market head unit, get the Nissan to ISO adaptor and then the appropriate adaptor for your new unit. Plug them all together and you avoid having to re-wire anything.

All sorted.

The note about the adaptors is already included in that DIY Guide and it is dependant on the type of the aftermarket head-unit you decide to get, as each head-unit has a different set of adaptors.

Thanks for sharing the info. about the Kenwood head-unit adapter type though.
