Re: Major Changes (Forum Structure Changed)
Yeah that was the aim of the upgrade.
There were lots of threads hidden and buried so this forum layout upgrade should help the newbies and existing members from asking questions that have already been discussed before.
Of course all members should still use the "Search Feature" of the forum first before asking questions that may already been discussed.
I've noticed already some quite old topics that have been resurfacing that I didn't even know existed myself,

Re: Major Changes (Forum Structure Changed)
Thanks Brett,
Most of the super old topics that are still quite interesting were moved to the archive section of the forum due to us being concerned that we would be reaching the 500 posts per forum limit pretty soon.
I believe no one and very few ever looked in the archive section to read these topics, so with the upgrade we have made ALL of the archive section active again and spread the topics to the corresponding forum categories.
I wont be surprised if you read most of these topics for the the very first time and I would love to see some of these topics come to life again.
The end result of this upgrade was to make everyone happy (the admin team and you guys the users)

Re: Major Changes (Forum Structure Changed)
Yes, I've noticed this over the last couple of weeks too.
It's not something that we the Admin have done during the site upgrade.
I'd say it's just another one of Runboards updates. Good to see they are still slowly updating their boards with new and better features....

Come on mate, stop revealing our admin tricks, it was us who did this. hehehehehe
Just kidding guys, it was Runboard indeed who rolled this out and in the process they created a bug where the dates of the posts have all been mixed-up
They're working on this bug right now.

Finally it recognises when you have read the new post(s) in a forum (or at least clicked on the thread(s)) and marks the forum as read so that when you go back to the main page (I have to refresh it) the NEW icon is gone.
I've also noticed this only works when you click via the directory structure on the top left hand side.
It doesn't work when you click the "Back" button
