Re: Grill...

The front grill is easily removable. There are 4 pop out plastic clips on the top of the grill and it simply comes out by lifting it up.

Note that there is a difference in shape and mounting between Series I and Series II grills. I've heard there are very limited range of new grills for series I and a handful of them for Series II although these are pretty pricey.

My suggestion is to just get your existing grill either chrome dipped or professionally painted.

Here is how to remove it:

Hi Glen, depending on which Series your exy is, there is an easier solution than chrome dipping emoticon

I do have a genuine Series II chrome grill for sale HERE (look at the last post in that page)

emoticon Jalal, watch your back. We may have another 'Chrome Warrior' in the making. First the front grill, next the
entire car. emoticon

The front grill is easily removed, once you learn how. One tip in removing the three lower 'pawls', is to use a small spoon to press the clips in, being towards you. Hard to explain, but get underneath and have a look first. They are easy to break when first removed, so take your time. A little spray of WD-40 also helps.

Re: Front Grill

I fitted a JAOS "Sport Aero" grill to my Exy today. Cost me $10 + $35 freight. And it had been painted exactly to the colour of my car!!

I'll send a picture soon! It looks really good!

I want to do this:

 emoticon

to my front grille. Think its as simple as removing the current grill, hack off the bits i don't want and stick some of the metal mesh stuff in there?

Re:

That's exactly what he has done. This mesh is also available from any auto store and it is the same we used to do the radiator protection (if you search for it)
