Re: Stockton Beach Trip - Early 2007
Hi Guys,
From my x-perience of stockton beach having driven it a few times, Lavis lane is very busy and soft, and especially in Summer the ground clearance is a problem in xtrails. With the added pressure of 1000s of quads I would suggest the extra 20-25 minute drive up the road to anna bay where you can get on in about 5 minutes. Just think of the the added time if someone gets stuck at Lavis lane, and the extra 25 minutes on tar becomes a whole lot more inviting. You can take your dog on beach, you just have to take a doggy doo bag!
I will check out my roster to see if I can make it. Its great fun, but youmust be careful on dunes for drop offs, even the 1 metre falls can do a bit of damage to the front end if your not lucky.
Matt

Re: Stockton Beach Trip - Early 2007
Looks like it might be a good turn out.
Rich - you seem to know the travel times etc pretty well; what do you think a good time to all meet would be?
Looking fwd to it.
Cheers

Re: Stockton Beach Trip - Early 2007
Hey Rich
Yep 2.5 hrs sounds about right from Sydney. Gosford is part of central coast but you won't have to go down in to gosford, pretty much you will turn off at the first gosford turn off from the F3, go through a set of lights and about 100 metres up turn left in to the BMW garage on that same road. Very easy. Myself and the other exy's will park where you can see us from the road.
It's about 80kms from Sydney to Gosford so it won't take that long to get to the BMW garage. It's up to the Sydney people if they want to just meet at the BMW garage or meet in Sydney. A possible meeting point in Sydney could be somewhere like Thornleigh macca's before the F3 turn-off? We need some input from the Sydney people so we can determine the best place for everyone.
What if we try and get to Anna Bay by 11am? That way Brett can go easy from Orange and the rest of us can casually cruise up without having to wake up at a ridiculous hour.
Brett - good idea with the phone numbers, keep us posted on friday with your plans.
Cheers
Matt

Hi guys,
May I join?
3 hour Sydney to Lavers Lane is fair.
Try Lavers Lane and Williamtown, NSW on Whereis.
My preference would be Lavers Lane as entrance and Anna's bay as exit - there is a servo at Anna's bay for quick tire pumping. From the memory there is some kind of rest area around Cabbage Tree Rd and Nelson Bay Rd (Williamtown Primary?) which is good for meet up (restrooms ) Let me know. However, I don't mind ether way.
I might use that offer of handheld radio - it's a must to it have on the beach. Here is a good possible meeting point at Anna's Bay Anna's Bay carpark
You sure can join! The more xtrails the better.
