Is it still set down for the 6th. I may be able to make it, just depends on how the wife is travelling (recent back surgery). Are we entering via Lavers Lane or the north end of the beach.

Still happening on the 6th, as i assume most people will have to start back at work on the 8th or around then.

I have never been to stockton so unsure which route we are taking - what do you recommend?

Ok so we have about 5 xtrails at this stage including myself.

Naff - do you want to coordinate the Sydney meet-up? I am happy to organise the central coast meet-up (that is, meeting the Sydney/Orange people at the BMW garage off the F3 hwy, Gosford turn off.)

Brett - we will work around you in terms of meeting times as i assume you would be travelling the furthest. What is a good time to meet the Sydney and CC exy's for you, the wife and co.

Lookin' fwd to it, should be fun! Hopefully it's a ncie day.

Cheers
Matt

Hey Matt

I have moved to Gosford (to be close to trains), I used to live at Blue Bay though - much prefer that area to Gosford!

Will keep an eye out for you.

Cheers

Matt

Guys,
I will work around you, as my attendance is not 100% guarenteed and will be a last minute decision. When it gets closer, just pm the group each others mobile numbers to make comms easier.

I wish I can join you guys, but I will be away and coming back to Sydney on the 7th of Jan emoticon

Had it been the Australia Day long weekend, it would have been a different story.

In any case, I hope you guys have fun and remember to take plenty of pics and vids emoticon

Re: Stockton Beach Trip - Early 2007

FYI, Clare & I are still keen.

Here's a headcount: (let me know if I'm wrong)

Rich & Clare
Matt & Rach (Y_WAIT)
Matt (canberraxtrail)
Nathan (Naff)
Brett

(and I'm following-up:
Oscar (FLY00A) as he responded in the first page of this thread,
Burkey (another Matt!) as he questioned whether stock tyres would be suitable or not (I'm betting he was keen, but abit reluctant), and
Dave4x4 as his avatar states he's from up that way)...

Where's mattSTX?! He was keen after missing the first Stockton outing. I'll PM him in case he's missed this thread...

That's going to be alot of "Matt"s coming if they all decide to come!

Does anyone know if dogs are allowed on the beach? I don't see why they wouldn't but it might be classed as a National Park and I know dogs aren't allowed into some National Parks...

As mentioned before, a stock X-Trail is very capable in the sand... What else to bring for a stock X-Trail - if you have any recovery gear it would be good to bring it (I will be bringing mine, but the more there is, the better). Also a CB radio is a good idea. I will bring a spare hand-held one in case someone else doesn't have one (I'll put it on charge now so I don't forget it!). Apart from deflating your tyres and pumping them up again afterwards at a nearby service station (or you could use my el-cheapo 12v compressor), there isn't much else I can think of that you'd need apart from the usual sunscreen, towel(s), fold-up chairs and other beach/picnic stuff.

Looking forward to meeting you, Matt...
