Re: Say CHEESE! Photography tips & tricks

Whew John...you seem to have mastered the VID stuff quite well.
Your vid of the BLSD facility was quite enlightening, I liked the way you had a close up vid of wheel inserted on main vid.....great work.

The cheese and kisses gave me a Canon HD Camcorder for Christmas and I hope to take some great Exy vids at first opportunity...perhaps middle January when I'm off to Stockton beach again with brother and nephews for a spot of fishing.

Getting used to taking the vids is one thing........then to download and post on forum will be the challenge. I'm sure there are a lot of useful tips under this thread which will assist me when the time comes. A lot of vid jargon is currently just gobblydook to me a moment.

cheers

Re: Say CHEESE! Photography tips & tricks

Hi Dave,
I'm certainly glad you enjoyed it and you could see first hand that all these built in systems do as they claim. It was great from a technical view point to do, but on the other side of things, I got to play with all my favorite goodies in one day, what a bonus.
Your new HD cam will give you some great footage which you can view over and over, however posting this raw footage on Youtube is not the way to go. Download Any Video converter and install it, import your HD cam file and select avi in one of the the smaller formats. 1280 x 720 is good. Compare the file size of this to the original. When you upload it to Youtube it will be much better for people to download and watch, rather than watching the Wheel of Fortune(as I call it) going around and round in the middle of the screen. It also has a built in edit function where you can cut out a selected piece of footage and just convert that. I'm guessing you are passing a Toyota up to it's axles. I'll gladly give you any help needed.

John
