Queensland Photo Shoot
As Sydney is organising this, I think Queensland should get together and add our mugshots to the site.
Is there anyone out there interested in this idea as well
I am looking for expressions of interest for a photo shoot sometime before XMAS, possible sites and a date that most people can be available. I know busy schedules are hard to organise and leading up to the festive season, work and play routines may make it a little difficult but I think we can organise something, surely.
Also, if anyone knows a suitable site where we can do it let me know, my limited knowledge is confined to Bribie Island, Charlie Moorland picnic and day use area and the Gantry picnic area at Mt Mee. Options for the day could include a day out and then a photo shoot along the way or if that is inconvenient, we can all meet somewhere, do the photo shoot and everyone go on their way after that.
So, if you are interested, click on the add reply button and let me know. I will keep track of it all and get back to everyone with the best options and see what we can do.

Re: Queensland Photo Shoot
Hey Danny, that's cool about the camera. I'll PM you about Fraser, maybe start a new thread.
I'm proposing that we have the photo shoot in November. I know a lot of people work on Saturdays so maybe a Sunday would be better.
So for all those interested, how does this sound. The dates available are; 5th, 12th, 19th or 26th November. If not Sunday, Saturdays are fine with me.
Bribie Island sounds good but if anyone is interested in going South, maybe a drive up Mt Tamborine could be a go. There are some nice spots up around the top of the mountain for a photo. We can always go to one of the local wineries for lunch, make a day of it.
I also know of a nice winery 'Canungra Vineyards' on the way out to O'Rielly's.
Not much response yet , but the thread has only been up for a couple of days. We will have to see how everyone else is feeling about it.

Re: Queensland Photo Shoot
Dear Queenslanders
I would have loved to be there with you in person on the photo shoot day but being so far away from you makes it a bit hard to do so.
To this end, I would like to contribute a little something to this event on behalf of the Australian X-Trail Forum.
A case of light beer (just so you don't get too excited on the day) is on the house and whoever (Jamie maybe?) buys it from you can contact me and I will pick-up the bill and transfer the payment.
This is just a little "encouragement" for this awesome event and I look forward to seeing the pics of this photo shoot day

Re: Queensland Photo Shoot
Hey, thanks for the drinks Jalal. I'll let you know how it goes, I can take care of getting this everyone.
A few responses so far, I think we can wait until the end of October for a final decision about when and where. This will give the Queenslanders a fair shake to get their responses in. 'I have to remember we are a little laid back up here'
Come on Queenslanders, show us your best 'EXY' face, smile for the camera and let's have a laugh and chinwag.
TonyO, is there anywhere we can get a little 4 wheeling done up that way?
Oh, by the way, if there are any X-Trailers from outside the Brisbane area that may be passing through (say from Cairns etc) or even from other states, give us a hoy and let us know the dates and we can try to schedule the shoot around it so you can join us.

Re: Queensland Photo Shoot
Hahaha, good try Jamie. If I were in the Brisbane area I would definitely be there. Though after driving 3000kms to Sydney and back last year in Nov for the cat back install by Hi-Tech I swore never to do a long drive like that again,
