Calling all Brisbane Xtrailers (OLD) Hi All,
I am interested to see who from the Brisbane/Sunshine Coast area is interested in a 4WD day trip. After reading about the Sydney xtrail meet ups, I think it is Bribane's turn to give it a go.
Please reply with your interest, possible dates and places to go & difficulty factor.
Look forward to everyones replies.
- DaveQ
PS It looks like Sydney's record is 6 xtrails at a meetup - Let's see if we can beat that.

Re: Calling all Brisbane Xtrailers Yep I am interested even tho my roster is infamously unreliable so if others can settle on a date I may be able to come.
Beginners day trip would be fine.

Re: Calling all Brisbane Xtrailers Thanks for your reply.
Hopefully some other people from Brisbane will reply also and maybe offer some destination ideas (I am fairly new to Brisbane).

Re: Calling all Brisbane Xtrailers Hi guys
Yes Robyn and I can be counted in although we are away down south untill 4 Nov.North Straddie is a great place, in fact we are headed there this Friday for a 40th birthday celebration.
Some other thoughts
Beerburrum State Forrest/Glass House Mtn's - Haven't been there but could enquire at forrestry office
Mount Mee State Forrest Between Brisbane and Caboolture - Again would need to make enquiries at forrestry office
Bulumba Creek/Charlie Morlans in Maleny Kennilworth area - easy dirt in dry weather just a little rough in spots. Swimming holes camping and day use areas.
Noosa north shore/Tewah beach- easy beach driving at half to low tide
Just some thoughts

Re: Calling all Brisbane Xtrailers Post added for Steve:
I am a newby to this forum and tried to post a reply last night but
nothing on site yet so assume I messed something up!
My wife and I would be very interested in day trips, we live on the
Brisbane northside, and most Sundays, with 2 or 3 weeks notice, would be
great.
Driving skill I would class as intermediate. Don't want to bash the
shiny ST up!
We recently did a day tour through the upper Condamine area, crossed the
river (well, the headwaters) several times. It was a great day,
challenging enough for novice drivers and enjoyable for all. May be
worth considering?
Bribie may also be worth considering, but it seems you would have to
time it right with the tides, or be prepared to wait out the high tide.
Hope this is of some use to you, please feel free to reply!
Re: Calling all Brisbane Xtrailers Over the Mt Mee track is a nice drive - no places the Xy cant go - a couple of big hills up and down but a nice look out near the end.
