X-Trail Xmas (OLD)

Hi Guys,

Just wondering what everybody is Sydney is up to for Xmas and if you feel we should meet up and celebrate X-Trail style? emoticon

I had in mind a meet-up in one of the parks for a couple of drinks and BBQ. Kids will have fun too.

Let us know if you're interested.

Guys,

I'm on leave from 24/12 to 17/1 and this year we decided not to leave Sydney emoticon

So any day you guys want to meet-up for a beach drive and/or BBQ and drinks at one of the parks will be fine with me.

Lets hear your availability and ideas.

Re: X-Trail Xmas

Excellent, that's 3 so far. Come on guys emoticon

Richi, Geoff, Dave, JD and others, what are your plans?

The dates I had in mind are:

Between 27th to the 29th (I presume everyone wants to spend Xmas with their families and relatives..well most of us anyway) emoticon

OR

The 8th or 9th of January.

Location: I'm pretty open for ideas, but the location/s I had in mind were the Royal National Park or Stanwell Tops where we could do a bit of driving (easy for the MX5 owners) and have a BBQ and drinks afterwards either at the Wollongong beach or at National Park.

Re: X-Trail Xmas

Happy to go anywhere, have to bring the GQ anyway, otherwise its two trips.
BTW have done the national park run a couple of times in the little car, tons of fun. Can pick you up next time Jalal (or anyone else thats suffering a mid life crisis)

If you go to National park I recommend one of the spots way down near the southern entrance. Can park right at the spot. But also happy to go north :

Ps; have just set up my gallery to take videos so if anyone has some that they would like to try it would be good

Hi Jalal!

We are happy to join in on your Christmas/New Year Bar-B-Q etc. We are fairly flexible time wise. After Xmas may be more suitable as we have family functions organised. Not many weekends available now anyway. What about 9/1/05 at Stanwell tops or the National Park, anywhere will do. We will be travelling from Newcastle anyway so we will make a weekend of it.

Dennis & Val

EDIT: Just fixed my name-up emoticon

We are away from the 16th until the 30th. After that though we are good, so Jan 9 could be a goer.

Re: X-Trail Xmas

Great, that's 5 of us so far!

Looks like we're going a head for the 9th emoticon

OK, some prep. work:

1. I can supply one of those Webber BBQ's and I can take care of the heat beads etc. (I will bring it along just in case we can't find an electric BBQ there or there are too many people using it)

2. Any ideas for the food (susages of course) anything else. I will bring some of that too, but it would be good if everyone chippes-in and brings any stuff to their taste.

3. BYO drinks emoticon

Pete: Can I please ask you to organise the meet-up point and places to go in the National Park or Stanwell? with my navigation skills, I think I'll just confuse everyone emoticon thanks mate.

OK guys, we're officially in X-Trail Xmas mode =D

It'll be great if others can join us as well.
