Re: Meet Up June 2004
Hi Peter,
I'm 90% in as well, will check with the wife if she wants to come along with my eldest son or not, but the little one (4 months) will have to give it a miss this time, as it might get a bit bumpy for him so he'll be staying home with grandma.
I will confirm tonight and let you know by Monday the latest.
I will need a radio as well if you don't mind and I don't have any sort of recovery gear.
Bob: Will give you as buzz, so we can head-out together from Sutherland or somewhere close-by.
Richi and Geoff: We meet again, this is going to be the 3rd time for me and Richi

Re: Meet Up June 2004
Peter,
In case I forgot to mention, I will need a UHF radio.
Sounds like a good idea to meet up with any Sydney drivers such as Basshead and Bob M in Sutherland (not familiar with Sutho but I know I will have to drive through it, as I am coming from Redfern) - where is a good meeting point? And what time do you reckon we'd have to meet up there to get down to Seven Mile Beach in time? Anyone?

I good meeting point that is easy to find in Sutherland would be in the car park area near the Warratah Oval or the Sutherland Shire Leasure Centre, both are easy to find in the street directory. In regards to the meet-up time, I think we need to allow 45 mins to 1 hour, so we should meet at 8:15am max.
By the way Peter, I have confirmed with my wife and we're 100% in with our son and thanks for the radio.
Is the total charge $55/per car for the whole adventure (including the use of the radio)?

Re: Meet Up June 2004
Hi answers to some of the questions.
Costs. $55 is for car (pack em in), includes radio, coffe/tea bickies. Sorry you will have to buy petrol.
Travel Time. I am a little conservative but I tend to allow one and a half hours to seven mile beach. Allows for petrol stop.
Sydney Meeting If looking for a good spot to meet in sydney, can I suggest Heathcote Railway Station. We use it a lot.
Dihatsu Terios. I had a look at one today, I think it will be ok for the tracks. I dont have a problem taking extras. Most clubs etc accept others. The question I suppose is whether the group want to, so how about we say a tentative yes, and if anyone prefers no, let me know and I will discuss with siukalo. (But we will have the trails up front for effect.
By the way, my intent is now to lead in my xtrail, My wife will be driving my patrol at the tail. I still want to bring the patrol, as it has most of my stuff in it. Being up the back - avoids a mother hen and chicks visual.
Seperate note. Did a famil trip today for customers of a car dealer up the Watagans. For anyone looking for a sol trip, its still very nice up there.
cheers
Peter
