Re: Interesting X-Trail Pics

Adam

Unfortunatley there is only the one pic. We did have a video camera but the battery died just as I started off on the run up (puking!!)

The damage was far lighter than I was expecting. When the nose dipped over in the air I was sure the engine was going to go through the radiator on landing, but the dune sloped downwards, so the only damage was to crack both the front plastic bash (splash?) plates. We ripped these off as they started to drag in the sand. I did also need a wheel alignment but other than that everything was fine. Got off lightly I reckon.

Hi all

Although this is unspectacular alongside Peter's pic, I was still chuffed that I was able to do this over the weekend:

Nice one Brenton.

I am tempted to do the same here in Melbourne when the F1 GP hits town.
Will see how I go.

Very nice shot there Brenton emoticon

It would have looked even better with a couple or more xtrails lined-up beside you emoticon

Hey, was the classic car show on when you went there?

We were there on Saturday to have a look at the classic cars - if I knew you were coming we could've met up emoticon Perhaps you saw our X-Trail parked there (the spotties were facing the road but we were parked 2nd row in from the road).

I didn't bother taking a photo at the start line - been there, done that with the Pulsar. When you've done it once, it doesn't have the same affect the second time around (although if I was in a MX5 like Jalal was the other day, it would be a different story emoticon ).

Small correction Rich, it was a Porsche I was in emoticon Had I been there in it, I would have done more than just line-up and take a photo LOL

Hey it's burgundy... no wonder there aren't as many on the roads in NSW.

I bet someone learnt of the power of the beast, stole it and took it for a joy ride... that or his A/C switch melted and started a fire. emoticon
