Re: NO FUEL CARD YET FOR NEW XTRAIL PURCHASED NOV 2005

In case any of you are slightly interested in this saga here is the update......

There is no update to report, no call backs, no fuel card, no nothing.

I will report back to you all when there is some news.

Jalal, I will go to the principal of the dealer Monday when I am a bit calmer!

Re: NO FUEL CARD YET FOR NEW XTRAIL PURCHASED NOV 2005

Here is the latest update regarding the fuel card (coming to a conclusion).

Today, Wednesday 8 March 2006, Nissan Australia returned my call from the fax I sent on 1 March 2006. The customer service person asked whether I had received my fuel card. I said that since I sent the fax to Nissan on 1 March 2006 I have not received it and I asked when is it going to be delivered to the dealer. NOW COMES THE BOMBSHELL

Nissan advised that the original card issued in November 2005 was never cancelled and no new card was ordered from the dealer to Nissan. At this stage, I leaned back on my seat at work and just had to laugh. NOW HERE IS WHERE NISSAN SAVES ME NOT THE DEALER.

Nissan advised me they will cancel the original card and issue me a new one (to be sent out to me this Thursday 9 March 2006) direct to my residence. I thanked Nissan for the assistance in solving this matter.

NOW FOR THE DEALER. Jalal probably wont let me name the dealer, so I wont, but they will definately not be getting my 4 month old xtrail for any service work whatsover. I dont care about the 6 year warranty they have given me provided I service it with them.

I have already found a new nissan dealer (City Nissan in Melbourrne) who would love to take my business and they will.

So, the 4 month saga of the fuel card will be coming to an end hopefully by the end of this week when I have it in my possession.

Until my next saga people thanks for listening and the motto is, if the dealer wont help - go to Nissan direct (I can imagine how many complaints they have).

I think I recall you mentioning that Nissan did checks on the card you were supposedly issued with, and that it was being used. So someone out there has your card. Whether it's one of the dealership's staff or a friend of one of the staff, they're about to get a surprise when they go to use the card next time (and if they're stupid enough to complain to Nissan, or if Caltex reports it, then they're going to be dobbing themselves in emoticon

Not to add any more fuel to the fire - was there any mention of reimbursement for the 4 -odd months worth of fuel you've already bought (and paid for yourself)? Probably wouldn't be worth chasing up, as petrol prices are only going to go up, so the more you can save, the better emoticon

Re: NO FUEL CARD YET FOR NEW XTRAIL PURCHASED NOV 2005

Am happy to hear that everything got worked-out just fine at the end and it is nice to hear that Nissan Australia has helped resolve this problem.

Your fuel card must have had all its fuel drained by now at the dealers, that is probably why they "couldn't" find it emoticon

No need to name the dealer, but members are free to ask you about them if they wish through a PM emoticon They won’t stay in business for long with such poor customer service.
