Re: Head Light Eyelids

Dave,

Mine are still stuck fine with Sikaflex from the day I fitted them on the exy and no highway or off-road fun affected the strength of this adhesive at all.

Re: Head Light Eyelids

Nah Tony, the window delfectors are much lighter than the eyelids (which are made from fibreglass) so a good 3M tape will hold them in place with no problems at all.

Thank goodness for this forum it saved me almost $25, i was going to use another glue until i read how long Jalal's eye lids have been on his Exy.
I'm pleased with them, gives the Exy a real edge to it now

Hi Jalal, I can see a window of opportunity in the xtrail shop for 20kg bags of cement to act as ballast for all those big spotties. emoticon

Re: Head Light Eyelids

Nah mate, all is good. The guys are using them as back-up light source during power block-outs emoticon

I've done the same, except I decided to go for higher numbers rather than bigger size emoticon

I guess it's our way of contribution to save on power energy bills at home LOL emoticon

Re: Head Light Eyelids

OK, found a downside to having the eyelids.
Can't remove the indicators to undo the side bolt of the headlight to take it out emoticon
Stuck them on with silicone as suggested and now after 4 yrs they are as solid as if they were bolted on.
