Spotto's

I thought I'd create a thread so we can post when and where we've seen other member's X-Trails out and about...

I think we should refrain from posting full registration plate details (for privacy reasons, as is the same with photos).

I'll start by asking if any members have a titanium (I think that is the colour) X-Trail with chrome 20inch wheels, plates "MD...." that was parked in Portman St Zetland (behind the Merc dealership) today. Looked very nice. I left a flyer under your windscreen wiper (luckily it wasn't raining today) in case you weren't already a member emoticon

I wish I had my camera on me so I could show Jalal the wheels emoticon

i saw an exy in silverwater Jaycar yesterday, looked like it had a suspension lift as it was riding about 2" higher than mine (although mine did have a bit of a load inthe boot)! looked nice like that.. it was the titanium colour i think, that brownish silver kinda colour.

Re: Spotto's

This thread never really got traction but given the amount of modding going on it is going to get easier to spot a fellow enthusiast!! emoticon

So ...

Last Thursday (16th), spotted a black with what looked like 17" or 18" chrome rims waiting at the lights at Mosman Junction heading towards the city (Sydney). I only saw it briefly and the rims distracted me from seeing any other detail!! I think it had the factory roof lights.

Hi if you are here!! emoticon

I was heading down to the zoo to pickup my in-laws that I had dumped there for the afternoon. emoticon

The brownish silver is the Twilight colour, not Titanium, but are quite similar when viewed separately, but very different when placed side by side.

I saw a new gunmetal grey X-Trail on the Pacific Highway in Chatswood (NSW) this morning, looked really nice! It almost has a slightly green colour in the sunlight.

It made the car look very solid.

I came across 4 standard x-trails at the Hill End Pub last Saturday, but I only had 2 forum cards on me. They were VERY interested in the mods to my car and keen to explore the forum. It's good to see the occasional exee getting dirty !!!

Re: Spotto's

No, it wasn't me, but Clare did tell me she saw another white X-Trail with the same lights as ours while we were heading along Canterbury Rd Bankstown a couple of days ago. This is the second time she's seen it - last time was perhaps about a year ago, in the Blue Mountains. Whether it's the same one or not, I don't know, as both times I didn't get to see it! emoticon

Anyway, we've had the blue lens covers on for the last 6months+ but I've been thinking of putting the clear ones on again (probably cheaper to replace if they get damaged).

Saw my first ST-S this morning! Followed it down Ernest St from Neutral Bay to Cammeray before the superior power of my Series II Ti swept me past with a roar from the twins! emoticon

It was the new slate grey colour and looked really nice, I like this colour a lot.

Re: Spotto's

Ok, here are some interesting figures.

At a RBT site last week, we had some fun and were selective in who we 'tested'.

Over an 2 hour period, 23 X-Trails were waved through the test area (they always came through at the wrong time and I had no room to fit them in-LOL emoticon ), 15 Honda CRV's were tested, 12 Subaru Forresters' were tested, 5 Vitara's were tested and 4 Sportages' were tested.

Just shows the ratio of X-Trails to the other cars on the road far exceeds what the 'adjusted' car sales figures tell us.

I was surprised that none of the X-Trails had the forum sticker, so Jalal, if you send me a few hundred I will endeavour to place one on every X-Trail that drives through the Central West. emoticon
