Re: window visor options

Widow Sox are used as shades to block the sun if you have kids at the back and they're also good if you go for a picnic or camping where you can leave the windows open and not worry about flies getting in while still enjoying the fresh air.

They might be different shape for different cars but they are for the rear only.

Re: window visor options

Also Alan, I don't think these window sox will fit your exy windows, cause you have curtains there LOL emoticon

The window sox are not that big to wrap around the window and the curtains emoticon

Re: Shevron SunShade Window Sox

Hi Guys,

I bought a Shevron Sunshade Window Sox for my Nissan X-Trail the other week. Today, when I tried to fit it to my rear windows I noticed that the sox is too tight at the bottom - in fact it is squashing some of the door rubber - and too wide around the top corners of the window. When I close the door the sox looks messy in the corners due to the excess mesh fabric.

I bought the Window Sox since I read it was specifically made for the X-Trail. However, I now find that the fitting is not snug.

Has anyone of you had the same experience with the above product? What can I do to solve the problem since the code on the bag clearly states that it fits a Nissan X-Trail?

Any advice / information would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Marco

Re:

Hi Marco,

If the Window Sox have a part number of WS4430. They're only meant to fit the older T30 X-Trail and will not fit the new T31 model. I have a set from my previous T30 X-trail and they don't fit my T31, as the door is wider.

Someone needs to tell Window Sox that the information they have displayed on their website about these sox being suitable for the X-Trail from 2001-on is incorrect.

Re: window visor options

Hi Jalal,

Thanks for your response. No matter which way I put the window sox on the problem remains the same, i.e. too tight at the bottom and too loose on the corners. I have already contacted the manufacturer and sent a few pixies, but haven't heard back yet.

How did you go about the window sox then? Any ideas if the one I have got can be modified somehow in order to fit (ex. wash & shrink)? I definitely need one of those window sox for my baby boy. An alternative I had a look at was the Outlook Window Sox, but I cannot fit it either, because the strapping mechanism hooks on to the door and it interferes with the plastic guards.

Cheers.
