Re: X-Trail Diff Breathers & Diff Oil

sorry to drag an old thread out. I'm trying to find where the front and rear diff breathers come out. I read the whole thread and couldn't find the front one in the engine bay. The photos on this thread aren't working any more. Can anyone tell me where the front and rear diff breathers finish up?
cheers

Re:

I don't think there are any photos in this thread Max.

In any case, the front breather comes out just near the air filter box. Can't remember the location of the rear breather though.

Re:

Rear diff breathers on the T31 are mounted on the upper edge of the rear subframe. Maybe check in that general area on your T30, Max?

Re: X-Trail Diff Breathers & Diff Oil

I have searched around the air box and can't fing the 'upside down U pipe' that people were referring to. When I put the exhaust on Ian I will have a good look. I want to check it out as I did a few water crossing recently up to the bumper and I want to make sure they were high enough out of the water. If not I will extend them and change the oil in the diff

Re:

It's connected to the transfer case and it just looks like a small black hose with a curved top. Take a photo and we can tell you if it is the one or not.
