Am currently considering the ECB 76mm ( Silver Hammertone ). As I do very little off road, more for protection at the supermarket carpark ! I had a full alloy roo bar on the Mazda Bravo, and it saved me several times.

ECB nudge bars are pretty good and fully compliant as well.

Getting back on topic I think the colour coded ARB nudge bar is the best looking by far. Current pricing is $461 fitted for the standard dark grey colour and a further $100 to match your colour. The Genuine Nissan nudge bar adds a toyish look to the exy. emoticon

Re: Who offers the Smartest looking Nudge Bar or Bull Bar for the T30?

Hi Guys,

I have been making a few calls re a Nudge Bar or Bull Bar for the T31 and was very surprised to find that ARB currently dont have one for any x trail past 2007. TJM have a nudge bar but looking at the site they have made no provision for driving lights at all.

Seems that the only choices are either the Genuine Nissan one at over $1,000 or via ebay and of course the question of Air Bag Compliance is never answered.

Hi Alan,

This is the T30 X-Trail thread for nudge bars. We have discussed the available T31 nudge bars in the T31 thread HERE.

Re: Who offers the Smartest looking Nudge Bar or Bull Bar for the T30?

Since Dave expressed his interest in my Exy's nudge bar/bull bar and pointed me towards this thread, I thought I'd post some pictures.

The bar isn't actually for an X-Trail. It's designed for a Navara D22 / NP300 pickup. However, since the front dimensions are so close on both vehicles and the general shape is similar, it fits. The lower mount points have had to be modified obviously, since the X-Trail is a monocoque design and the Navara isn't. The finish is a powder coated black.

The photos are a bit old, I've added 7" high beam headlamps since they were taken. Installation was a breeze since I could bolt the lamps directly to the existing upper support points.

Re:

That bar looks similar to one we have here in Aus as we refer to looking like it was made from a farm gate.
It looks very good colour coded to the car and on the Black, blends in nicely.

Re: Who offers the Smartest looking Nudge Bar or Bull Bar for the T30?

Gday Henri, thanks for putting the pics up.
What are the two bars that protrude from what look like the spottie mounting points, into the radiator grille?
Are they secured to the actually body of the car, or just mounted to the spottie mounting brackets?

The colour coded bar looks pretty good, and molds well to the front of the car....definately offer more protection than a simple a frame.

Re:

The only thing that concerns me with retrofitting a bull/nudge bar from another vehicle is the impact to air-bag functionality as this bullbar wouldn't have been tested on an X-Trail and therefore would not be certified for it. Am not sure about the insurance companies in Finland, but in Australia, the insurance companies would eat you alive if they found out and more so if this proves to be the cause of the air-bags no deploying at the time of an accident.
