Saw this article quite a few months ago when I was searching for a dry-type pod filter to use as an SRI to temporarily replace the oil-type K&N CAI when off-roading.
Bought one locally in Sydney.

thats an interesting read....best bit was a reminder Auto Salon shows are back this year emoticon

if you want to see some great cars, with dedicated owners....I highly recommend checking out dates in your State.

And to keep it on topic...the 3A appears to be the "goods"

Hi, I was wondering if any of you guys ever cleaned the sponge on AEM Bypass valve? Is it possible to wash it like K&N or should I just leave it the way it is? Thanks...

Hi Chiellim,

The foam around the AEM bypass valve doesn't require any cleaning. I left mine un-touched since fitting it, there is no air coming through it anyway, the filter is what you need to regulary clean.
